• 300g Green olives stuffed with red peppers
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 small glass of beer
  • 2 egg whites
  • Grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 3 tablespoons grated kefalotyri cheese
  • 3-4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • Olive oil
  • Salt


Prepare the batter by mixing all the ingredients together in a bowl. The batter should have a fairly thick consistency. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Dip the olives into the batter and deep fry until golden brown. Drain on a plate lined with absorbent paper towels and serve hot as an appetiser.
